Lately, we’ve been drawn to warm, nude colours… or more specifically makeup palettes. Maybe it’s because where we live, September had been one of the most hot and humid months we’ve ever experienced.
Nevertheless, we made the most out of this sticky situation and selected a few palettes that we felt were too pretty not to share:
1. Too Faced Natural Eyes (Neutral Eye Shadow Collection) – This is a must-have everyday palette. Great for beginners, it comes with a little card with step-by-step instructions on how to create three different looks. It’s so versatile and can easily make your eyeshadow game dramatic or natural. The only downside is the matte shadows are a little more pigmented than the shimmery ones. Then again, we do prefer subtlety when it comes to our eye makeup! This compact palette is palm-sized and therefore travel-friendly – perfect for when you need your eyes to look bright and fresh in the event of jetlag.
2. Morphe Brushes 35O Matte Palette – Morphe calls this the “35-colour matte natureglow eyeshadow palette”, and it has autumn written all over it. Highly pigmented and affordable to boot, we are certain you won’t need other palettes once you get a hold of this. It’s a pity that perhaps it’s a little too big to lug around when travelling. Tip: Check out the 35T if you need more pink and purple hues in your glam kit.
3. Tarteist Contour Palette – we must admit, this one was an impulsive buy. We had high hopes that after watching tons of tutorials, we must have enough skills to contour in our sleep. While we are far from Huda Kattan levels when it comes to contouring, this palette definitely made the task so easy that it was almost idiot-proof. Its warm tones and super blendable shades are a dream to use.. very helpful when you need a little depth and a hint of pink on your cheeks. It’s an all-in-one kit with an amazing formula, which we feel if used with the right primer and base, would be long-lasting in any weather.
